The Beginning of a New Era

The Beginning of a New Era

LPGA Women Who Play Becomes Official

Dear LPGA Women Who Play Members,

This is the beginning of a new era for the organization. After months of anticipation, we are now officially known as LPGA Women Who Play!

We will never forget who we are, where we began or Nancy Oliver’s vision for the women’s game. We are looking to the future with that same passion and commitment. We remain steadfast in our goal of creating opportunities for women to play golf for work and fun and now look to the LPGA to assist in providing the needed resources to increase and enhance those opportunities over time.

Starting today, our National and Chapter websites will begin to reflect this new identity. In the coming weeks, the LPGA Women Who Play IT staff will work with each Chapter to ensure each Chapter website is fully migrated and functional within the new brand. Additionally, Chapter leaders will receive physical and digital collateral that will help promote your local chapter and align our messaging.

From the perspective of member benefits, I am happy to announce that entrance to U.S. LPGA tournaments (excluding the U.S. Women’s Open, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and Solheim Cup) will now include one member guest, free of charge. To attain this benefit, LPGA Women Who Play members will simply show their Member card and ID at the gate to gain entrance for themselves and their guest.

Additionally, we will begin featuring interactive Facebook Live broadcasts with popular LPGA players from the past and present, in addition to instructional shows with well-known LPGA teachers and coaches. Finally, please take a moment to check out the LPGA Women’s Network – a free online community created to connect, ignite and inspire women golfers. Access to the LPGA Women’s Network will  also be available via the LPGA Women Who Play website and shared via e-mail newsletter biweekly.

Today is the first day of an exciting future for LPGA Women Who Play and we are just getting started.  Please stay connected to your Chapter websites and LPGA Women Who Play on FacebookTwitterLinkedIn and Instagram, as we will use those platforms to communicate with our members.

While the last few months have been challenging on many levels, the support that we have received from our members, Chapter and Task Force Leaders, Board of Directors and the LPGA staff has been unwavering.  We truly could not have done this without ALL of your support.

All the best and good luck on the links this coming season,

Jane Geddes
Executive Director
LPGA Women Who Play
